Seven Measuring Objects for the year 2121
Ruler, spectrometer, tuchelle, Geiger counter, chronometer - the fetish of our civilization: measuring instruments to make the world comprehensible, states comparable and things possessible. Whoever measures has the power. Who will own it in the future? What are the scales and units of measurement of tomorrow? In order to measure the future in a new way, seven designers have joined forces for the Vienna Week and designed their own highly specialized measuring instruments. In 2021, the installation was also part of VDW, inviting visitors to take demo measurements - and to recalibrate visions of the future together.
